Frequently Asked Questions
What will be the weather in LA?
The locals will tell you the winters are wintery, but the weather in LA is beachy year round. If you live somewhere with snow, you will love our warm, sunny skies. In the winter, we occasionally experience heavy rainfall. Though this is rare, it is possible. The wedding ceremony will be outside, hopefully in the sunshine, indoors only if necessary. By dusk, we will be comfortably seated inside for dinner, and dancing will be indoors. Typical winter weather in LA requires a light jacket or cozy sweater at night, and light clothing during the day.
What attire is formal attire?
Dress as you like and look your best. We will be thrilled to have you. If you have more creative attire than everybody, we will be impressed. Attire for wedding party is black tie and military equivalent with black dresses. All others may wear formal attire, including rowing blazers, military uniforms, and national dress. American national dress means cowboy chique! Attire is suggested and not enforced. Unless you run into Archer’s grandmother.
Is my date invited?
If you have a serious significant other, congratulations! We cannot wait to meet your special person. Tell us, and we will add to your invitation.
If we do not know your date, or if your relationship is brand new, we are limited by space and budget, and we are not able to accommodate plus ones for everybody.
I was not invited. May I come?
Who are you and how did you find this website? Jokes aside, please ask for an invitation. Without the invitation of the bride and groom or their mothers, please do not attend. We matched the space and program to the guest list. Please direct any questions to the couple.
What are the plans for the wedding party?
Archer and Elizabeth will send special plans for the wedding party to you personally. That is for bridesmaids, groomsmen, and immediate family.
